The Radionic Notebook

Some years ago I was at a lecture about radionics and the speaker was telling about how he had spent almost a thousand dollars for his unit. I listened politely and then, during the break and undoubtedly possessed by mirth demons, I went up to him and asked if he would like to see a working radionic system that cost only a couple of bucks. He was naturally curious and I showed him what I now offer you.
Psionics is interesting in that while the heavy equipment with the dials and amplifiers and helmets are great fun, they are not necessary for lots of operations. Many things can be accomplished with only the need for a pendulum and an amplifying pattern, a couple of charts and symbolic machines made out of cardboard cut outs. What this means is that one can have a working psionic laboratory in a loose-leaf binder that can be taken anywhere without attracting any undue attention, something that cannot be said of a 20 dial console unit with laser beam attached.
Take the patterns in this section and experiment with them. Oh, and one more thing. For your pendulum, I recommend the use of a key attached to a string. It has the advantages of being flat, so it can be carried in an envelope glued to the inside of the binder and being pointed so you know where it is pointing at, something a ring is less useful for.
Now, at this point some folks may be wondering how I got the idea for this. Well, if you look at the photo you will see a premium from the 1950s television show Space Patrol. About the time I was finishing my first book on Psionics, USA Network was running the old kinescopes of that show and I remembered that I had the cockpit premium. It was made of printed cardboard cut outs that when put together with the aid of my long-suffering mother (I was like 5 at the time!) came out as you see in the picture.

Well! My feverish and demented little mind went to work and figured that if radionics could be done at the purely symbolic level, then the old cockpit premium would have been marvelously adaptable as a radionic instrument and from there it was simplicity incarnate to come up with versions of my own.
The first models were big things that when unfolded and braced sat on a table, much like the cockpit you see, but it took relatively little time to modify them to the designs in the notebook. So let that be a lesson to you. You never know where inspiration will come from.

This pattern is essential the same as a console radionic unit. It has three tuning dials, a large sweep dial for testing and also as a final rate dial, a setting dial for the part of the person being studied or transmitted to, and a dial to set to the chakra being studied or transmitted to as well as a color dial for studying the aura.
The setting dial allows the instrument to be set for the physical body, the aura, the etheric body, the astral body and the mental body.
Putting this instrument together is very easy. You will need:
The pattern from this page
Seven copies of the tuning dial pattern, one for each of the dial position on the instrument.
Seven paper fasteners (brads)
Poster board and glue.
Print up and cut out the pattern and the tuning dials.
Cut the posterboard to fit each.
Glue the pattern to the posterboard.
Glue the tuning dials to their posterboards
Punch holes in the center of each tuning dial and in the center of each dial position on the pattern.
Fasten everything together.
You use this instrument as you would any other radionic unit.

The Hieronymous Pattern
In 1949 T. Galen Hieronymous patented what was for many years the most famous radionic device in the US. In the 1950s, John W. Campbell, the science fiction writer and editor decided to build the unit in the hope of debunking it. To his great surprise it worked and not just for him! But there was more. Campbell discovered that just the circuit diagram of the instrument would work just as well as the real instrument.
You can imagine the shock he must have felt at that moment.
Anyway, the circuit pattern has been published many times but never with much of an explanation of how to use it. Then, in the early 1990s, G. Harry Stine published his "Mind Machines?"which had the first truly detailed discussion of what he called the "symbolic Hieronymous Machine."
I have made a few additions to the basic pattern to make it even more easy for you.

Begin by printing out the pattern itself.
Then you will need: 1 sheet of poster board
the prism dial pattern which you will print out
a paper fastener (brad)
and some glue.

Cut the poster board to fit the pattern. You should have enough left over for the prism dial and a small square to act as a stick pad.
Glue the pattern to the poster board.
Cut out the prism dial and a piece of poster board the same shape and glue them together with the triangle showing.
Punch a hole in the center of the large circle on the H. pattern.
Punch a hole in the center of the dial
Fasten them together with the brad so the dial turns freely.
Cut a small square and glue it with the shiny side up over the square spiral in the corner of the H. Pattern.
To use this instrument, place the witness of whatever you wish to work with on the spiral cirle in the corner opposite the stick pad. Adjust the dial while stroking the pad as in any other radionic unit. Then think at it.

This chart was developed by Malcolm Rae and David Tansley for the purposes of diagnosing the general condition of a person. All you need with it is a pendulum.
The witness of the person is placed in the circle and the pendulum held over it. As each area of the chart is considered, dthe pendulum will swing out to the point appropriate for the condition of that area of the person. The farther the swing the stronger the health. As each point is marked, lines are drawn connecting them thus giving a pattern which corresponds to the general physical condition of the person.
The prana, or life energy, of the person is tested by holding the pendulum over the prana flow box and the length of the swing indicates the strength of the life force flowing through the person.
Each chakra is best tested by using the chakra dial and sweep dial on the console and then marking that information in the places provided on the chart.
While designed for healing, the information given by this chart can be used for many things. Print up a bunch of copies.

This is a simple chart used to dowse information. The pendulum is held over the center point and then the message is spelled out. This chart has the advantage over the more common Ouija Board in that punctuation marks are included as well a space to indicate when a new word is starting.

Everyone faces times when they don't know what to do, will something turn out for good or ill. Well, this little chart is designed to help you figure out just that.
Using it is simplicity itself. All you have to do is place a witness, which can be just a word written on a piece of paper, placed on the witness circle. Then you hold the pendulum over that and the pendulum will swing in the direction of the answer.
